The Donut Hub

Updated: Apr 13, 2019

Donut shop specializing in unique flavors and quirky themed donuts.

Box of eight donuts from The Donut Hub, including the Billionaire.

Browsing through instagram, a particular donut profile recently caught my eye. They offered melting snowmen, Harry Potter, unicorn, and even voting themed donuts.

My team at work had a particularly trying week, so I thought grab some Friday donuts and try this spot out on the way into the office.

The space that shop occupies was a previously acupuncture office in a strip mall, so it does have a bit of a different feel than most donut shops.

The first thing you notice is the large mural just inside of the door with cartoon art of donuts, muffins, coffee, and milk. The employees quickly greet anyone who walks in the doors and must have a loyal following as they knew many by name.

Next is the case lined with all sorts of interesting donuts. There were so many interesting flavors that I quickly became indecisive and feared that I would hold up the customers that were waiting behind me.

I went for many non traditional flavors including an orange creamsicle, green tea, pistachio, tiramisu, s'mores, and lemon blueberry. The most compelling one to me was "the billionaire," which had chips, pretzels, and peanuts all atop a single donut.

Single specialty donuts are roughly $2.50 each and a dozen will cost about $25. If you're just looking for traditional donuts, they have those as well, at about $10 per dozen.

It was one of the few times that my team consumed an entire dozen by lunchtime and all gave rave reviews on the flavors. Excited to stop back in and try some additional flavors!

Know Before You Go

  • Seating is limited to just a few tables, so best to grab and go

  • While it's known as the Donut Hub, they do server a variety of sandwiches and beverages. See resources below for a full menu.

Location

Found in small strip mall, just off of North Tustin street. It's in between the Chapman and Katella exits off of the 55 Freeway. If you're going earlier in the morning, parking should not be a concern.
