Tustin sushi restaurant offers unique rolls and presentations.
In central Orange County, it's easy to find dozens of sushi restaurants within a few miles. In our years of living here, we've tried many of them, but few leave a lasting impression on us.
Recently however, we stumbled upon Sushi Bear in Tustin, found just minutes off of the 5 Freeway. The location is easy to miss as it sits in a strip mall with a small rectangular sign above the restaurant.
When you enter, you'll immediately notice a pile of stuffed bears that creates a great photo opportunity while you wait for your table. The interior is small with a limited combination of tables and booths
As you browse the menu, you'll notice many clever roll names such as Dragon Ball Z, "I Did Your Girlfriend," "3 Hours Nonstop," and "Put Your Hands Up."
While you're likely to get a kick out of the names on the menu, you may also find yourself a bit indecisive. There are so many choices and you need to read through each description, so we found that it took 10 minutes just for us to decide.
The service was fast and get roll came out beautifully presented. Many came with an orchid flower or a neon light to liven up the presentation.
Since our initial visit, we've been back many times in an attempt to try as many of their delightful combinations as possible!
