Posh Hotel in Camp's Bay offers rooftop bar and pool.
While researching our stay in Cape Town, we found that Camp's Bay seemed to come highliy recommended in terms of safety, proximity to beaches, dining, and local attractions.
We easily found the hotel just off of Victoria Road and pulled into the small parking garage next to the lobby. The garage was nicely decorated with artificial plants, really giving it an appealing look in an otherwise drab setting.
After checking in, we were walked up to our room. On the gym, the staff pointed out the gym, and bicycles for rent.
In the room, we found a spacious setting with balcony attached. The highlight was a fully furnished kitchenette and refrigerator stocked with goodies. Every day our refrigerator would be restocked with drinks, and select food and at roughly 7 AM , freshly baked bread is hung outside of your door.
We really loved the location in that we could easily walk to the Camps Bay Ocean Pool, as well as many nearby bars and restaurants, including our beloved Codfather Restaurant.
The best part of the hotel however was the small bar and pool on the rooftop. Up top, there was a variety of seating options that gave spectacular views of the ocean and Lion's Head. While the pool was so shallow that visitors certainly won't be swimming any laps, it was nice to nice to sit in the pool with a glass of wine on a warm day. After a day of climbing Table Mountain and seeing the Penguins of Boulders Beach, this was a great spot to take in a sunset prior to dinner.
Know Before You Go
Take note of the breakfast delivery hours. We often were on the road before the bread was delivered each morning.
It can get chilly in the pool area due to the wind, so be sure to bring some layers.
The parking garage is small, so best to rent a smaller vehicle if staying here.
