The original Maui Brewing Company location.
During our first visit to Maui in 2013, we drove substantially out of our way to visit Maui Brewing Company. I remember the day vividly because after driving north on the Kahekili Highway, I certainly needed a brew after the stress of driving that road.
Fast forward to 2019 and the brewery has grown substantially in popularity. We stopped by twice on this visit and both times had to wait ten minutes just to be seated.
As far as breweries go that incorporate local names and flavors, Maui is one of the best. This round I tried the Star Maps Kolsch and Lilikoi Saison as they incorporated Starfruit and passionfruit into the beers.
I always enjoy getting a seat at the bar because of the horseshoe of ice that runs the length of it. On a hot Hawaiian hot, its a great way to keep your drink cold.
They also have an extensive menu that offers traditional pub fare as well as local dishes including the fried breadfruit, loco fries, maui onion dip, and pokè tacos.
Know Before You Go
The brewery has grown in popularity, so expect wait times when you arrive.
They offer "logo wear Wednesday" where when you wear MBC Hats/Apparel, you get discounted drinks.
Just like most breweries, there is opportunity to purchase apparel and other gifts on site.
Try and snag a seat at the bar so that you can utilize the layer of frost to keep your drink cold.
Ensure that you have your location correct - there are now 2 locations on Maui and 2 on Oahu.

Found on Maui's west side, north of Lahaina. Turn off of State Route 30 into the Kahana Gateway Shopping Center. It is a smaller parking lot, but even during busy periods, we were able to secure parking.
