Twin Falls brewery in a 100-year-old building.
Recently on a visit to Twin Falls, Idaho, we stopped in the downtown area for some beer at Koto Brewing company.
The brewery is named after the building it resides in, with its construction dating back over 100 years. The building was built back in 1920 by a Japanese immigrant named Torijo Koto.
Upon approaching the brewery, you'll notice some characters peering through the windows above the doorway. A little creepy, but hopefully no one has gone missing!
As you walk through the doors, you'll notice an expansive brewpub. The website mentions that the tabletops are made from the old High School gym schools. You'll see large fermenting tanks on your left, a stage to the right and the bar at the back of the dining area.
We took a seat by the garage doors with a view out to Main Avenue, which in the summer months is the best seat in the house.
The beers on tap included Swollen Ego (Blonde Ale), Juice Joint (Pineapple/Mango Fruited Ale), 80 Grit (English Porter), Fluffhead (American Vanilla Cream Ale) and Table Base IPA.
The highlight for us the cheese board, which included four types of cheeses, pickled vegetables, berry jam, and garlic toast. The menu included wings, tacos, salads, and many Asian-fashion dishes.
We loved both the beer and the food and would highly recommend this spot when you're in Twin Falls.
