Cookies Cafe in Costa Mesa offers unique dessert options.
In a busy business plaza in Costa Mesa is an exciting new cafe that offers cookies, cookie dough, teas, and coffee.
Cookie dough is quickly becoming an alternative to ice cream in Southern California, so we were eager to try some of their options on a Friday evening. Unfortunately, upon our arrival after 9 PM, many of their best sellers had already sold out.
Nevertheless, we were able to try two of their traditional flavors of cookie dough. It was interesting to see cookie dough served this way. The cups seemed rather small, but the bowls were actually rather filling.
While we were unable to try their famous "smookie" (which seems to be a mix of a s'mores and a cookie), we did try the flavor of the month, which was a Guava Lime Cheese Cookie.
We enjoyed our cookie dough and cookie in the seating area and admired the decor around the restaurant. Lots of pink, stuffed Cookie Monsters, and a large Instagram-worthy cookie art installation for customers to pose with.
We'll be sure to get back to try the "Smoke" as well as the other flavors that they are constantly thinking up!
Know Before You Go
Parking is very limited during dinner hours.
When we visited, they were a cashless store. This is a controversial topic, so you may want to check their website if you intend on using cash.
Arrive early if you want the best options as some of the more covetable items sell out quickly.
