Anaheim breakfast spot that features gourmet waffles.
On a recent rainy Saturday, we decided to try Cafe Casse Croute in Anaheim. We found the location at the south end of a small shopping center, not terribly far from Disneyland.
The space was much smaller than we anticipated, so there was a bit of a wait to be seated. Before too long, we were able to grab a small table and the server immediately brought our attention to the drink specials shown on the chalkboard in the back.
After reviewing all of the options, I was intrigued to try what they termed a "galaxy mimosa." Shortly after ordering, our server brought out was appeared to a traditional mimosa in a champagne flute, but had one noticeable difference. There were sugar crystals at the top and bottom of the glass, and when stirred, the liquid inside would have that circling galaxy/stars appearance. I'm not entirely sure what they add to the beverage to make it do this, but it hasn't killed me yet.
After enjoying the first few sips of our drinks, it was on to the food. While we did order a small side of eggs and potatoes, the main course was definitely their waffle offering.
We had visited to try the Red Velvet waffles, which came with bananas, berries, whipped cream, and both cream cheese and chocolate icings. While the red velvet is good and seems to be their claim to fame, I found the Lemon Curd waffles to be even more enjoyable. These came with a raspberry sauce, whipped cream and fresh berries. Both the flavor and texture was really incredible!
If you're in the Anaheim area or visiting Disneyland, this may be a good option for you to try out. Both the service and the food are top notch!
Know Before You Go
Weekend mornings are likely to be busy and have a wait.

Location
On small corner of the shopping center near the intersection of Brookhurst and W Niobe Avenue. Parking is plentiful on site, but you may have to park a little further away given their are several businesses condensed into one area of the center.
